Last week was so much fun! I went camping with the kids and then to a retreat with some very nice women where we played games until the wee hours. Much fun was had by all playing Cosmic Cows: It’s time for the Annual Extraterrestrial Cow-Pulling Contest, and aliens from all over the galaxy have come to watch the event! Go head to head with your cross-cosmos rival to see who can abduct three Cosmic Cows first!


We also played Carcassonne with the Princess and Dragon expansion, Wizard, 5 Crowns, Bandits, Killer Bunnies, Guillotine, 4Mation, and Ticket to Ride. Cosmic Cows was definitely the hit of the evening, though, with 5 or 6 plays.

On a different note, school starts today for 3 of my 4 children. They are so excited to see their friends and learn new things this year, but I’ll miss having them home to play with me. They promised to come to the store to play games on Thursdays after school, though, so I’m looking forward to starting our own D&D group. Wish me luck with my new role as DM. Thank goodness I’m their mother so they can’t make too much fun of me.

Well, I wasn’t around much last week because I went to Girls’ Camp with my daughters. We had such a blast.

I did get back in time to win the MTG 2010 Booster Draft. Of course, it helped that I had a Platinum Angel. Mike and Grayson took 2nd and 3rd place, respectively.

Munchkin Night was moved to this week, so if you’re a fan come and play with Dennis (our Man in Black!) Saturday starting at 6 p.m. We’ll have other games going, too, so come in even if you don’t want to play Munchkin.

Lastly, I wanted to make a quick mention that we’ve just had our 1 year anniversary! I can’t believe we’ve already been open that long. As a matter of fact, it came and went so quickly that I completely forgot about it. Next year hopefully I’ll remember early enough to have a party.
